As a young child I always used to bring him buckets of crawfish - I liked catching them and he liked eating them). When I was 16-years-old, Dr. and Mrs. Kroeze stopped by our cabin for supper. This was after the city sidewalk was built, blocking the garage. The Kroeze's were splitting there time between Butte and a home in Mexico at the time. Dr. Kroeze told me there were two cars still in the garage and gave them to me, on the condition I figure out how to get them out of the garage. Sometime later, we stopped by their home for a visit (exquisite interior and furnishings) and he took me out to the garage. we developed a plan. Unfortunately, I went off to college and didn't execute our plan. I would give anything to have pictures of the inside and outside that I can use if I every want to when I am writing my books. Mt. View is my second home and dear to my heart. My heart is breaking that they are closing. I know some of the history but it would be current during my life time. My whole family was active in the church. I remember when it became a United Church and the politics involved. It has been many years of struggling to keep Mt. View and Trinity open for those on the hill. I grew up on Calendonia street. I remember the names of most of the churches you have mentioned in your article. The Methodist church was very active in it's outreach back in the old days.
